COVID-19 claims 189 lives in Kailali in a month



KAILALI: Kailali district is now enlisted as the worst-hit district by the COVID-19 infection.

The district bordering neighboring India is facing hard times in its battle against the COVID-19 pandemic as the second wave of the virus has rapidly spread.

A total of 10,441 individuals have been infected with the virus in the month of Baishakh alone.

Similarly, altogether 6,937 infected persons got recovered so far in the district in the past 30 days. According to the data, 189 infected persons died of the virus in the same period in the district.

Meanwhile, Nepali Congress leader Dr Arju Rana Deuba has supported one million rupees to Mayor Welfare Fund established by Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City for the treatment of Covid-19 patients.

Leader Deuba provided the financial assistance to establish an oxygen plant and purchase oxygen cylinders.
