Cloudy weather and rainfall forecast for a week



KATHMANDU: Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has forecast cloudy weather with chances of rain in all the provinces for a week.

The pre-monsoon has started in the country since Friday afternoon in some places including the Kathmandu Valley of the country.

According to a weather bulletin issued by the MFD this morning, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions at the beginning and the end of the week.

Similarly, thunderstorms compounded with lightning are forecast in some places including the hilly regions of Karnali, Sudurpaschim and Gandaki Pradesh at the start and towards the end of the week.

The same weather pattern is expected in some places of Pradesh 1, Bagmati and Lumbini Pradesh.

Currently, both the local and westerly winds are active in the country, according to Raju Pradhanang, a meteorologist.
