Tiger kills one more woman in Bardiya



BARDIYA: One more woman has died after being attacked by a tiger in Bardiya district.

The deceased has been identified as 62-year-old Dalli Rawat of Thakurbaba municipality-7, Mohanpur.

The wild beast had attacked her while the sexagenarian was collecting fodders for her cattle in Bagauraphant of Bardiya National Park, according to the Park.

With this, the number of deaths from the tiger attack has reached 10 in the current fiscal year.

The national park in a notice on March 11, had put a ban on the entry into the park for 10 days to identity the man-eating tiger and take it under control.

Earlier, a woman who was pillion-riding a motorcycle was attacked by a tiger in the Bardiya National Park-section of East-west Highway two and a half months ago.
