KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Federal Council of Janata Samajwadi Party, Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has warned that the media manipulation on behalf of regression is the most dangerous thing to bother about.

Expressing his concern on the media manipulation attempts by the state, former Prime Minister Bhattarai tweeted that the manipulation would be the most dangerous at such a time.

“At a time when various manipulations are being worked upon on behalf of regression, the media manipulation can be the most dangerous,” Bhattarai tweeted.

Regarding the Maoist led ‘people’s war’, Madhesh uprising, Tharu uprising, and the Janajati movement as the main contributors of the present constitution, Dr. Bhattarai tweeted, “Republic, federalism, secularism and inclusive democracy etc. are the mainstays of our constitution and the people’s war, the Madhesh uprising, the Tharu uprising, the Janajati movement are the main carriers of the present constitution, let’s find out who are the ones cursing these factors and restricting the materialization of the spirit of the constitution.”

He has asked the people to be aware of the factors preventing the functioning of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
