Kathmandu Valley records year-low temperature



KATHMANDU: The temperature of the Kathmandu Valley has plummeted to 3 degree Celsius, the lowest of the year, on Thursday morning.

It was 4.3 degree Celsisus yesterday. Meanwhile, Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has urged people to take precautions further as it would plunge further in the coming days.

The minimum temperature has gone down across the country, of late.  The temperature of Jumla has gone down to minus 4.7 degree Celsius.

The weather will remain partly cloudy in the hilly region and fair in the Terai region, according to the Division.

Light rain and snowfall are expected in high hilly and mountainous regions of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini and Gandaki provinces starting tomorrow due to westerly low-pressure system.
