Man dies of snakebite in Taplejung



TAPLEJUNG: A man has died after being bitten by a snake at Phungling Municipality in Taplejung district Saturday morning.

According to Rakesh Yadav, an information officer at District Police Office, Taplejung, Bishnu Bahadur Ghatani of the Phungling-9 died at the district hospital on Saturday.

Initially, Ghatani was taken to a local witch doctor and he was given home-made medicines, but to no avail, said villagers.

He breathed his last shortly after he was admitted to the hospital, Yadav informed.
