Tika being received from elders even today



KATHMANDU: Hindu people are receiving tika and jamara from their elders even today.

Tradition has it that the red tika and yellow jamara which are regarded as the prasad of goddess Nawa Durga and the symbol of prosperity will be received along with blessings until the full moon day.

People who could not spare their time to receive tika on the day of Bijaya Dashami are receiving tika from their elders even today.

With the coronavirus gradually subsiding, the movement of people has increased this Dashain.

With the number of people vaccinated increasing, the government has not imposed restrictions on Dashain and Tihar festivals this year.
