KATHMANDU: MitKat Advisory and Nepal Institute for International Cooperation and Engagement (NIICE) are jointly hosting a virtual event on “Nepal as a Business Destination-Risk and Reward” on September 20.

The discussion will feature a panel discussion with 10 eminent representatives of the corporate world, academia, and policy influencers.

MitKat Advisory, a geopolitical risk consultancy firm, and NIICE, a premier think-tank based in Nepal, will also release ‘Nepal Risk Review 2022’, a jointly prepared business risk assessment report.

Being a rising South Asian economy, Nepal is booming as a destination of global investment, a statement issued by the organizers has said.

The document charts out the risks and major features of the business environment in Nepal looking at six broad areas: geopolitical risk, socioeconomic risk, infrastructural risks, economic risks, technological risks, and environmental risk, it said.

The panelists for the event include Lt Gen Sudhir Sharma (Chairman MitKat Advisory); Ram Prasad Subedi (Deputy Chief of Mission, Nepal Embassy, India); Shekhar Golchha, (President of FNCCI); Amlan Mukherjee (Managing Director and CEO, Unilever Nepal Ltd); and Ranjit Rae (Former Indian Ambassador to Nepal).
