Nepal-Khanal faction leaders boycott UML SC meeting



KATHMANDU: Leaders of Nepal-Khanal faction have boycotted the Standing Committee (SC) meeting after the establishment disagreed to postpone the meeting.

They demanded that the meeting be adjourned, saying that the report prepared by the task force needs to be discussed.

They returned after Chairman KP Sharma Oli refused to adjourn the meeting.

Leaders of the Nepal-Khanal side were also present at the Tulsi Lal Memorial Foundation in Chysal while KP Sharma Oli and his party leaders were holding a meeting.

Vice Chairman Bhim Rawal, Standing Committee members Surendra Pandey, Ghanashyam Bhusal, Gokarna Bista and Bhim Acharya were present at the meeting.

Entering the venue of the meeting, UML Vice Chairman Rawal had urged the establishment to postpone the SC and Parliament Party (PP) meeting.

The PP meeting of the party has been called for 3 pm today.

The SC meeting is taking place at Tulsi Memorial Foundation at Chyasal in Lalitpur.
