Madhav Nepal asks party cadres to engage in rescue efforts

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has instructed the party cadres to engage in rescue work in the flood and landslide-affected areas.

Nepal’s directives come after floods and landslides triggered by incessant rains caused huge loss of property in different districts of the country including Sindhupalchowk and Manang.

“I ask all local party workers, government bodies, and the entire community to take immediate action in the flood and landslide affected areas,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

He has also drawn the attention of the government and charitable organizations for the provision of relief, shelter, cloth, and health materials for the affected people.
