One killed, six injured in Bhirkot jeep mishap



SYANGJA: One died and six others got injured in a jeep accident at Bhirkot Municipality-4, Syangja on Wednesday morning.

According to Syangja District Police, a Mahindra jeep Ga 1 Ja 4940 heading for Bayarghari Bazaar from Banethok met with an accident at Darbungthanti of Bhirkot.

The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Jung Adhikari, 36. Adhikari died while undergoing treatment at Bhirkot Hospital.

The injured have been identified as driver Bikas Thapa, Resham Pariyar, Pratima Pariyar, Ruk Bahadur Pariyar, Soni Shrestha and Dinesh Pariyar.

Among them, Resham Pariyar and Soni Shrestha are undergoing treatment at Bhirkot Hospital. The other four injured have been referred to Pokhara for further treatment.

The primary investigation shows that the accident occurred due to the slippery and muddy road; the details will be disclosed after further investigation, the police said.
