Gold, silver prices hit new record highs in Nepal



KATHMANDU: Gold and silver prices in Nepal reached new record highs on Monday. The price of gold rose by Rs 4,200 per tola.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association, gold was priced at Rs 282,000 per tola on Monday, up from Rs 277,800 the previous day.

Earlier, the previous record of Rs 278,000 per tola was set last Wednesday. Monday’s surge has now surpassed that mark.

Silver prices also set a new record. Silver traded at Rs 5,810 per tola on Monday, an increase of Rs 185 from Rs 5,625 the previous day. The previous high of Rs 6,655 per tola had been recorded last Wednesday.
