Heavy rains forecast in Karnali, Bagmati, Lumbini and Gandaki



KATHMANDU: The weather is generally to fully cloudy across the country with chances of rains in most of the places of Gandaki, Lumbini Pradesh and in a few places of the other provinces.

Heavy rains are expected in some places in Karnali, Bagmati, Lumbini and Gandaki Pradesh today afternoon and tonight.

Similarly, heavy rains (100 to 200 millimeters) are expected in Lumbini and Gandaki Pradesh, according the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

The weather pattern will continue at least until Thursday, informed Manju Basi, a meteorologist.

“The weather will slightly improve but the downpour will not improve,” said Basi.

Rain will continue until Friday, according to a weather bulletin issued by the MFD this morning.

Meanwhile, the Division has warned people to take precautions with the forecast of the heavy rains amid thunderstorms.
