JSP demands oath be re-administered to PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) has demanded that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli should take the oath of office and secrecy again.

Issuing a press statement Sunday, JSP Chairman Upendra Yadav said the PM Oli’s casual attitude while the President administered the oath to him was derogatory towards the President and the post of PM itself.

“As the swearing-in was unbecoming, we demand that the PM should be re-administered the oath,” the statement read.

Alleging that the new Ambassadorial appointments did not fall in line with the constitution’s inclusive spirit, Yadav also demanded to review those appointments to make them inclusive.

The statement also urged the government for the prompt arrangement of oxygen, cylinders, beds, among other medical supplies, to save the lives of citizens, where were terrified of the pandemic.
