NEPSE increases by 54.21 points



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has increased by 54.21 points on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

With today’s increment, the index has reached 2,738.29 points.

A total of 2,13,28,882 shares of 214 companies were traded 1,13,069 times, resulting in a turnover of Rs 10.40 billion.

The share prices of eight companies, including Ruru Hydropower, Shikhar Insurance, and Samata Domestic Microfinance, have increased by about 10 percent.

While investors of 146 companies made a profit today while investors of 32 companies lost.

Investors in Ankhukhola Hydropower Company incurred a loss of 3.9 percent. On Sunday, the sub-indicators of all groups turned positive.

The largest increase was in the non-life insurance group at 4.28 percent and the development bank group at 3.87 percent. Life insurance group go up by 3.04 percent, banking group by 1.54 percent, and microfinance group by 1.89 percent.
