High time we stood together to combat COVID-19: Gagan Thapa

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Gagan Thapa has said that they were prepared to stand together with Prime Minister KP Oli if the latter was sincere to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

“If Prime Minister Oli is sincere to save the lives of Nepalis fighting the epidemic, we are here to support him,” Thapa has said in a video message.

Thapa has further said, “You (PM) will find me and many others like me standing with you.”

Urging the Prime Minister to focus on combating the coronavirus pandemic, Thapa has said people will not shy away from their responsibilities to help the PM to fight the dreadful virus.

“Let’s work differently this time. Let’s provide oxygen to those who are struggling without oxygen, and work together to reduce the number of corpses reaching Aryaghat. Let’s work together against the epidemic,” he has said.

Thapa has also urged Prime Minister Oli to concentrate on the pandemic rather than keeping himself busy in inaugurations, laying foundation stones and disputes within the party.
