Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll reaches 3,070 with four new fatalities

KATHMANDU: As many as four COVID-19 patients have reportedly succumbed to the coronavirus pandemic in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the new deaths have taken the country’s death toll to 3,070 as of Friday afternoon. Out of four reported toll cases, two have died in past 24 hours.

The Ministry reported that 836 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 64 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 286 persons in Kathmandu, 43 in Lalitpur, and 19 in Bhaktapur tested positive for the pandemic virus, as of Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, 208 persons have returned home after complete health recovery today.
