Nepal-Khanal faction forms parallel committee in Jhapa



KATHMANDU: The Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhala Nath Khanal faction of the CPN-UML has expanded parallel structures in Jhapa Friday.

Jhapa is also party Chairman and Prime Minister KP Oli’s home district.

Nepal-Khanal faction formed 351-member Jhapa district committee under the chairmanship of veteran UML leader Bed Raj Regmi.

Likewise, Deputy Mayor of Bhadrapur Municipality Chanda Shrestha is picked the vice chair, Nil Mani Baral as secretary and Mani Bhandari as undersecretary, among others, of the district committee.

Leaders Nepal and Ghanshyam Bhusal at today’s gathering of district cadres and leaders slammed the establishment faction of the party led by PM Oli for their unilateral ways of running the party.
