Coronavirus scale spiking alarmingly in Banke

KATHMANDU: Out of 187 tests carried out in Banke, 127 have tested coronavirus positive in past 24 hours.

According to Bheir Hospital, Nepalgunj, this is the single-day highest number of the pandemic cases in the Hospital.

After finding 69.4 percent of the tested swabs coronavirus positive, it is dreaded that the second wave of the pandemic has spread at community level again.

On April 14, Bheri Hospital had found 75 out of 123 swabs tested in the Hospital COVID-19 positive. Thus, it was 61 percent that day.

Likewise, out of 75 swabs tested in Nepalgunj Medical College yesterday, all tested coronavirus positive.

Sadly, with the increase in the coronavirus cases in the province the demand for more isolation beds is increasing, but the authorities seem not well prepared to combat the second attack of the pandemic.

The poor arrangement in the health desk set up at the border and the poor facility at the hospital and quarantine centers tell the visitors so.
