Lightning kills three in separate places

KATHMANDU: Three people have died from lightning strikes in different places of the country.

Thunderstorms compounded with lightning killed 45-year-old Khim Lal Kandel in Tarakhola rural municipality-2, Sile, Syangja, 39-year-old Ishwari Lamichhane of Phedikhola-5, and Rehita Magar, 11, of Chhathar rural municipality-1, Tehrathum.

Similarly, 45-year-old Krishna Kumari Karki sustained injuries after being struck by lightning strikes in Tarakhola rural municipality-3, Baglung.
