All-party meeting underway at Shital Niwas



KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has reached Shital Niwas to take part in the all-party meeting summoned by President Bidya Devi Bhandari.

According to Shital Niwas sources, Maoist Center Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha and leader Dev Gurung have accompanied party chair Dahal.

Beside Maoist leaders, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Deputy Prime Minister Ishwar Pokharel, Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa and Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel of the CPN-UML are also in Shital Niwas.

Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba, General Secretary Shashank Koirala, senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and Vice President Bimalendra Nidhi from the Nepali Congress are also attending the meeting.

The Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) is being represented by party’s Central Council Chairman Mahantha Thakur and leader Rajendra Mahato.

Likewise, Nepal Workers Peasants Party leader Prem Suwal and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leader Dr Prakash Chandra Lohani are also at the president’s official residence to take part in the meeting.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari Monday called an all-party meeting at 4 pm forTuesday.

The meeting is expected to discuss the current political turmoil in the country.
