Gautam advises Oli to retain leftist govt with Prachanda’s support

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Bamdev Gautam has advised Prime Minister and party Chair KP Oli to retain ‘left’ government seeking support from the CPN (Maoist Center) led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

Addressing a meeting of the UML National Unification Campaign’s Work Execution Committee led by him, Gautam said that the leftist government should be given continuity with support from the Maoist Center.

“I would like to urge Prime Minister Oli to take the initiative to retain the government led by communists taking support from the Maoist Center,” leader Gautam said, adding, “Then only the communist movement can be checked from further decline.”

He further said that the unification among the communists in Nepal is still possible.

Gautam urged PM Oli to revoke the decisions of March 12 and abide by the party statute.
