KATHMANDU: A woman is murdered in the slums in Balkhu on Monday evening.

According to SSP Ashok Singh, the Chief of Metropolitan Police, Santoshi Shreshtha Sapkota, 32, was found murdered and wrapped in a sack in the hut at around 7.30 pm.

The primary investigation has hinted that she could have been killed by her husband.

“It seems she was struck with a hammer on her head,” SSP Singh informed, “The incident could have taken place at around 5-6 pm, we got the information at around 7.30.”

Her husband Yagya Sapkota is absconding after the incident.

Yagya had spent six months in jail in different allegation before.

The police are investigating further for details.
