HoR adjourned until Friday after passing condolence motion



KATHMANDU: The meeting of the reinstated House of Representatives (HoR) has been adjourned until Friday passing the condolence motion on the demise of Dinesh Chandra Yadav, member of the erstwhile Constituent Assembly.

The next meeting will take place at 1 pm on Friday.

The HoR is meeting for the third time today after the Supreme Court reinstated the lower house on February 23. Before this, the HoR meeting was convened on March 7 and 10.

A meeting of the HoR Business Advisory Committee was also held on Monday for the operation of the House business.

The President, on December 20, dissolved the HoR on the recommendation of the government and the Supreme Court had reinstated the lower house after hearing the writs challenging the house dissolution.

Similarly, Today’s meeting of the House of Representatives has nominated the name of members chairing the meeting in absence of the Speaker.

Dr Dila Sangraula, Man Bahadur BK, Radha Kumari Gyawali, Renu Yadav, Lalbabu Pandit and Som Prasad Pandey have been nominated for the same in accordance with Rule 10 (1) of the House of Representatives Regulations-2075.
