38 killed as bus plunges falls into canal in India’s Madhya Pradesh



NEW DELHI: At least 38 people were killed in an accident in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi district Tuesday when a bus carrying around 50 passengers fell into a canal after the driver lost control, India Today has reported.

Several passengers have been missing after the bus fell off a bridge into a canal, it said.

Reports said at least seven persons swam to safety.

As many as 50 passengers were travelling in the bus at the time of the accident, the report said.

India Today said the bus sunk in the canal and was not visible.
