Prachanda-Nepal faction to protest in Kathmandu against HoR dissolution on Jan 22

KATHMANDU: The Prachanda-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has decided to hold a massive demonstration in Kathmandu on January 22 against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR).

The decision was taken at a joint meeting of the Central Struggle Committee and Valley Struggle Committee, Bagmati Province Committee among others.

A statement issued by Co-Coordinator Yogesh Bhattarai after the meeting said, “The meeting decided to hold a massive protest in the capital Kathmandu to protest against the reactionary, counter-revolutionary and unconstitutional steps taken by the Prime Minister and to defend democracy, constitution, and people’s rights.”

An appeal has also been made to all political parties, civil society, and various organizations to show solidarity for the protection of people’s rights including wide participation in the protests.
