KATHMANDU: General Secretary of Nepali Congress (NC) Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has demanded that the House of Representatives (HoR) be reinstated at any cost.
Speaking at a protest program organized by Lalitpur Metropolitan City Committee of Nepali Congress, Dr. Mahat said that NC needs the HoR at any cost.
“We are ready to abide by whatever the court decides,” said Dr. Mahat, adding, “NC needs parliament either through the restoration of the dissolved HoR or fresh mandate via elections.”
He also warned that if the election is not held on time, NC will launch a street agitation to dismantle the Oli government.
He went on to say that the communists had deceived the people by taking advantage of the failure of the Congress to publicize its good works.
He urged the Nepali Congress to inform the people about the laudable activities carried out by the party.
