Five arrested with weapons in Dolpa

KATHMANDU: A team of Nepal army (NA) deployed from She-Phokshundo National Park have nabbed five individuals with weapons from Muha area of Tripurasundari municipality-11 in Dolpa.

According to NA sources, Man Bahadur Budha, Chandra Prasad Budha, Surya Bahadur Budha, Chandra KC and Gokarna Budha of Tripura Sundari 11 have been arrested in cooperation with the police for their alleged involvement in smuggling of wildlife body parts.

Meanwhile, the NA’s Directorate of Public Relations and Information informed that two loaded firearms, ammunition, equipment used in wildlife hunting, two stolen horns of yak and suspected musk teeth were recovered from their houses.

The arrested have been handed over to the park office for further action.
