NC senior leader Poudel emphasizes on united, strong NC under Deuba’s leadership

KATHMANDU: Senior Nepali Congress (NC) leader Ram Chandra Poudel has congratulated the newly-elected party President Sher Bahadur Deuba and wished him a successful tenure.

In a congratulatory message, Poudel has hoped that a united and strong Nepali Congress party would be built under Deuba’s leadership.

“I am sure that the party President would focus on building a strong and united Congress that is inclusive and successful in defending democracy and good governance,” Poudel said.

Stating that there are challenges in democracy and constitution, Poudel said, “We are at a very crucial juncture in the history of both the nation and the party.”

“On the one hand, the democracy established by the Nepali people after seven decades of struggle and the constitution issued through the Constituent Assembly is still not free from danger, while on the other hand, the world continues to push Nepal towards instability and decline,” he said.

Poudel has also stressed the need for a united and strong Nepali Congress to overcome these two crises.
