KATHMANDUU: Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana, who entered the Supreme Court (SC) from back gate, has heard four cases in his single bench Monday.

CJ Rana scheduled 10 benches to hear 298 cases for the day amid protest of Nepal Bar Association at the main gate of the apex court.

However, agitating SC judges did not hear any other case except habeas corpus writs. SC judges heard the habeas corpus writs despite Nepal Bar writing to them, urging them to boycott benches fixed by CJ Rana.

CJ Rana had scheduled five writ petitions in his bench for Monday. However, he did not hear one case and placed it under cannot be heard. In the rest of the cases, he issued an order to submit the complaint and related documents.
