Nepal sees 1,760 new COVID-19 cases, 7 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 495 fresh coronavirus cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 1,760 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,332 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 428 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 360 persons in Kathmandu, 72 in Lalitpur, and 63 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the Kathmandu valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 495in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 7 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 1,220 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
