UML wounded due to split but still a force to reckon with: Leader Bhusal

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Deputy General Secretary Ghanshyam Bhusal has said that UML was wounded due to the split in the party but was still the biggest national force.

Addressing a gathering of UML party cadres in Rupandehi Monday, Bhusal said, “We have fallen and been wounded. We are in a difficult position in terms of movement, we have fallen, but we are still a great power.”

He claimed that the UML would return to its former glory as in 2017 elections. Stating that the mindset of winning elections at any cost was a wrong trend, Bhusal remarked that this is the reason why crony capitalism is gaining ground.

He said that there was a need to fight against crony capitalism inside and outside the party.

Bhusal was of the view that the issue of party split should be reviewed.
