Ambulance knocks down one



KANCHANPUR: Krishna Bahadur Eir, aged around 45, of Krishnapur municipality-5 of Kanchanpur, died after an ambulance knocked him today.

The Mahendranagar bound ambulance (Ma 1 Cha 288) from Attariya of Kailali had knocked Eir near Gulariya of Krishnapur municipality along with the East-West Highway.

Critically injured Eir died while undergoing treatment at Dhangadhi-based Seti Province Hospital, informed DSP of District Police Office, Kanchanpur, Siddaraj Neupane.

Police arrested ambulance driver Ganesh Bista, 40, of Bhimdutta municipality-16 for investigation.

Locals had obstructed the Gulariya road section along the East-West Highway since early this morning demanding compensation. Now the obstructed road has come into operation.
