Two held for raping a minor



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested two persons on the charge of raping a minor girl.

According to the police, they arrested a truck driver and helper on Tuesday as they were on the run since they raped a minor girl inside a bus outside Sajha petrol pump in Banepa Municipality-12 of Kavrepalanchok on Saturday.

Police investigation showed that the two, in the name of assisting a 13-year-old, took her to Banepa and raped her and ran away. Police arrested them from Dhulikhel Municipality-7 along with the truck.

The arrested have been identified as Harka Bahadur Bishwakarma, 32, of Haldibari Municipality-5, Jhapa and Nideep Dhimal, 18, of Urlabari Municipality-1, Morang.

Police are initiating necessary legal proceedings against the arrested.
