Nepal records 2,212 new COVID-19 cases, 33 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley records 739 new cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 2,212 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, out of the 8,088 people who underwent tests through the RT-PCR method, 1,793 persons tested positive for COVID-19 while 419 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 33 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

The Kathmandu Valley recorded 739 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday.

Out of them, 522 were detected in Kathmandu, 154 in Lalitpur, and 63 in Bhaktapur districts.

Meanwhile, 1,867 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
