Khanal-Nepal faction to abstain UML’s PP meeting convened by Chairman Oli

KATHMANDU: Citing that rather than working for the party unity, CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Oli further showed ‘arrogance’, Khanal-Nepal faction has decided to skip parliamentary party (PP) meeting called by Chairman Oli.

UML Chairman Oli has called a meeting of the parliamentary party at the Federal Parliament Building in Baneshwor for 3 PM on Friday.

Lawmaker Birodh Khatiwada said that there was no possibility for them to participate in the meeting without discussion and without enough realization from the party Chairman Oli’s side.

He said that there was no effort for party unity after the Supreme Court’s decision but he would not attend the meeting convened by Chairman Oli.

Earlier, in his ‘balcony’ address from Balkot residence after leaving Baluwatar on Wednesday, chairman Oli had remarked that there is no space in the party for the leaders like Madhav Kumar Nepal.
