Coalition partners hold meeting at Singha Durbar

UML senior leader Nepal does not attend the meeting



KATHMANDU: Leaders of the coalition political parties have discussed the current political situation, including government functioning on Thursday.

A leader, who attended the meeting at Singha Durbar, said that they discussed on a wide range of issues, including coronavirus, and government functioning.

The meeting of the coalition partners has been held for the first time since Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba became the Prime Minister.

Leaders, including Prime Minister and NC President Deuba, CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, Janata Samajwadi Party Central Council Chairman Upendra Yadav and Rastriya Janamorcha Chairman Chitra Bahadur KC were present in the meeting.

Likewise, NC General Secretary Purna Bahadur Khadka also attended the meeting.

Meanwhile, CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal remained absent in the meeting.

He did not attend the meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar.

UML leader Nepal had earlier said that he would withdraw his faction from the coalition.
