EC cancels election schedule for HoR



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has cancelled the election schedule set for the House of Representatives (HoR) as per the order issued by the Supreme Court (SC).

The election schedule set for November 12 and 19 has been cancelled, said Raj Kumar Joshi, the spokesperson of the EC.

The EC had fixed the election schedule for mid-term polls on July 5 as per the order of the Supreme Court.

Political parties had been asked to register the names of the parties from July 15 to 30.

The SC on July 12 had issued an order directing the EC to cancel the election schedule.
