KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, informing the international community about the declining cases of coronavirus in the country, has appealed to assist by providing life-saving vaccines.

He said that the target was to vaccinate all the citizens by 2021 if adequate vaccines were to be available.

In an interview with US media outlet CNBC, Prime Minister Oli said that even if the virus was brought under control citizens needed immediate vaccination. “The virus cases have fallen by 75 percent and the government is working to control the contagion in other parts of the country,” he said.

Admitting that Nepal faced shortage of oxygen and beds in Nepal during the second wave, the Prime Minister said that the government was working to prevent such situation from arising again.
