RPP’s general convention postponed indefinitely

KATHMANDU: Citing the wide-spreading coronavirus pandemic, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party  (RPP) has decided to postpone its general convention scheduled for June 5-8 till further notice.

Issuing a press statement on Saturday, the RPP has informed that the general convention scheduled for June 5-8 in Kathmandu has been postponed indefinitely.

RPP Chairmen Kamal Thapa, Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani and Pashupati Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana held  a meeting in Kathmandu and decided to cancel the general convention schedule considering the COVID-19 pandemic risk in the country.

The meeting expressed concern at the government’s indifference towards the pandemic curb and control measures and has also expressed sadness that the patients are dying due to the lack of bed and oxygen in the hospital.

RPP has demanded the government to address the oxygen supply problems, insufficiency of ICU and ventilators and the proper deployment of  health professionals deemed essential for the safety of the public.

It has directed its leaders and cadres to volunteer actively to help the community curb the coronavirus pandemic.
