Prohibitory order in Jajarkot extended by two more weeks

JAJARKOT: The prohibitory order in Jajarkot district has been extended by two more weeks until 29 May.

This is in view of increasing Covid-19 infection rate, said Chief District Officer Prem Devkota. So far, the district has reported two deaths from the virus.

The District Hospital has a 103-bed isolation unit, three intensive care units, one ventilator, 54 filled oxygen cylinders, one HDU, 33 beds equipped with oxygen, and a 33-bed general isolation unit.

The hospital has called bidding to purchase additional oxygen.

Likewise, Chhedagad Municipality has built a 15-bed isolation unit, said the municipality chief administrative officer Jhalak KC. Bheri Municipality has rented an ambulance belonging to the Nepal Red Cross Society in a bid to transport Covid-19 patients, said the municipality.

Similarly, Bheri Municipality has donated Rs 700,000 to a disaster management fund. The money was collected from two day’s salaries of people’s representatives, school teachers, and employees of the municipality.
