JSP Chair Thakur holds talks with PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Chairman of Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Mahantha Thakur has met Prime Minister KP Oli at latter’s residence in Baluwatar Thursday.

Their meet focused on the government’s agreement to address JSP demands, informed JSP leader Laxman Lal Karn, who was present at the meeting. JSP leaders inquired about the progress on withdrawing cases filed against JSP cadres and leaders and their release.

The Prime Minister told JSP leaders that the government was duly working to address JSP demands. However, it is learnt that substantial progress on JSP demands has yet to be achieved.

PM KP Oli has been trying to retain support of JSP to remain his hold on power and for the cause he has assured JSP leaders of fulfilling their demands.

JSP leaders have been frequently meeting PM Oli in hopes of freeing their cadres and leaders, including imprisoned Resham Chaudhary, who have been charged for their role in Tharuhat movement.
