Rupandehi records new death linked to COVID-19



KATHMANDU: A man infected with COVID-19 has passed away in the course of treatment at Corona Special Hospital in Butwal of Rupandehi district.

A 38-year-old man of Paiyun-5, Parbat, who recently returned home from India, succumbed to the virus at 6:20 pm yesterday, said Dr Bishnu Gautam, the spokesperson for the hospital.

He was hospitalized at the COVID-19 hospital under Lumbini Provincial Hospital on April 11 after testing positive for COVID-19.

He had been suffering from high fever, pneumonia and dry coughs since the last 10 days.

Meanwhile, as many as 48 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Rupandehi district on Wednesday, taking the caseload to 157.
