IPL 2021: Bangalore beats Hyderabad by six runs

KATHMANDU: Royal Challengers Bangalore has defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by six runs in a cricket match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 held at Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday.

This is the second victory achieved by Bangalore in this ongoing edition of the IPL.

Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Bangalore notched up 149 runs in the allotted 20 overs losing eight wickets.

Chasing the 150-run target, Hyderabad could achieve only 143 losing nine wickets runs, despite David Warner’s a half-century.

Batting against Hyderabad, Bangalore’s Glenn Maxwell hit the highest 59 runs followed by Captain Virat Kohli with 33 runs while Shahbaz Ahmed contributed 14 runs.

In reply, Hyderabad’s Jason Holder grabbed the highest three wickets while Rashid Khan took two wickets of Bangalore.

Chasing the 150-run target, Hyderabad’s David Warner top-scored with 54 runs followed by Manish Pandey with 38 runs while Rashid Khan made 17 runs.

Restricting Hyderabad from reaching the target, Shahbaz Ahmed took the highest three wickets of Bangalore while Mohammed Siraj and Harshal Patel took two wickets each.

Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals are locking horns in today’s match.
