Japan extends support to SHAPLA NEER



KATHMANDU: The Government of Japan has extended 30.85 million rupees to SHAPLA NEER – Citizens’ Committee in Japan for Overseas Support, to reduce child labor through strengthening the child protection mechanism in Makwanpur, under its Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO Projects Schemes.

A grant contract for this effect was signed and exchanged today by Yuzo Yoshioka, Charge d’Affaires a.i. of Japan and Hiromi Katsui, Country Representative of SHAPLA NEER Nepal Office, a statement issued by the Embassy said.

The Embassy expects the project will contribute to elimination of child labor, child trafficking, and will promote child protection in Makwanpur District.
