BIRATNAGAR: The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) and the Prachanda-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) have boycotted the third anniversary of the formation of the provincial government.
Chief Minister Sherdhan Rai, Province Chief Somnath Adhikari, Speaker Pradeep Kumar Bhandari, provincial government ministers, some lawmakers close to CM Rai, and government employees attended the program on Monday.
The leader of the main opposition Rajiv Koirala said he could not participate in the program as they had to attend a protest program against House dissolution.
It should be noted that a no-confidence motion has been filed against CM Rai by the Prachanda-Nepal faction.
