Octogenarian dies of COVID-19 in Banke

KATHMANDU: An 80-year-old woman has died from COVID-19 in Banke district.

The octogenarian, who tested positive for coronavirus on January 11, died in the course of treatment at Bheri Hospital at 11:30 pm on Thursday.

Originally from Nepalgunj Sub Metropolitan City-1, the elderly had been hospitalized on January 10.

With this, the number of deaths from COVID-19 has reached 49 in Banke district.
