Prachanda-Nepal faction’s SC meeting taking place today



KATHMANDU: A Standing Committee (SC) meeting of the Prachanda-Nepal faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is taking place on Friday.

The SC meeting which started yesterday is continuing even today at Peris Danda in Koteshwor said a SC member of the faction.

It is learnt that the meeting will dwell on how to make the ongoing protest rallies against the dissolution of the House of Representatives more effective.

According to a Standing Committee member, Friday’s meeting will discuss the upcoming moves of the faction, which has been organizing protest programs against the dissolution of the House of Representatives.

The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has been divided politically and the disgruntled Prachanda-Nepal faction has been staging demonstrations after President Bidhya Bhandari dissolved the House of Representatives on the recommendation of the prime minister on December 20.
