Dr. Koirala holding press conference; to contest election with Deuba

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) presidential candidate Dr. Shekhar Koirala said he would contest the second round of elections with another presidential candidate, Sher Bahadur Deuba.

According to Koirala’s secretariat, he would contest the second round of the election with Deuba.

In the second round of elections, Deuba has the support of presidential candidates Prakash Man Singh, Bimalendra Nidhi and Kalyan Gurung.

With the support of three candidates, Deuba’s victory seems quite certain.

Meanwhile, Koirala is holding a press conference at a hotel in Hattisar shortly to make public his views about the election result.

It may be noted that NC leaders Nidhi, Singh and Gurung have already announced their support to Deuba in the second round of the election to be held today.
