NC picks coordinators in all seven provinces for provincial convention

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has picked coordinators in all the seven provinces for the party’s provincial convention to be held as part of the party’s 14th general convention.

A meeting of the NC’s Central Working Committee (CWC) held in Budhanilkantha Sunday picked Krishna Prasad Sitaula as coordinator in Province 1. Likewise, Ramesh Rijal in Province 2, Prakash Man Singh in Bagmati Provnice, Gopalman Shrestha in Gandaki, Bal Krishna Khand in Lumbini, Jeevan Bahadur Shahi in Karnali and Dilendra Prasad Badu in Sudurpaschim Province were selected coordinators.

Central member Min Bishwakarma said coordinators were selected for the provincial convention as the party did not have provincial committees at present. The NC’s provincial convention is slated for December 2 and 3.

The CWC meeting also formed a housing and food committee under the coordination of central member Surendra Pandey for the party’s central convention.
